- Ok guys at Softwood, I have just bought FW4 and I have found a few things
- that I
- think need your attention.
-
- File requestors..... They should be re-sizable. This seems a bit "small"
- but I
- find it handy to re-size it if I have a big list of files at which to look.
-
- The button bars..... In the view preferences under borders and buttons,
- there is
- the option to select which button bar is visable, but only ONE at a time?
-
- This seems a bit silly, as if the user is a button "freak" they would have a few
- buttons to press.
-
- Also the tool and font strips can't be both displayed... Well, ok that is the
- way it is, but in FC (from which I upgraded) they were both available. I
- understand that the > button at the right toggles between the two. I shall try
- that, but it was just a statement of what I can see as the difference.
-
-
- Yes, I like the MUI type display and the way you have adopted the "word for
- windows" type of scrolling on fonts/sizes/etc. That is an improvment on what was
- there.
-
-
- The date/time insertion..... Interesting. To check I understand it am I correct
- with this idea?
-
- - I am typing a document and want the time inserted.
-
- - I insert the time and continue.
-
- - The document is an on-going thing and has dates throughout it. But it also has
- a date of last update. Yes this could be read from the file's attributes, but
- this is my example.
-
- - If I put in a line at the top with the text:
-
- "last edited on (date)"
-
- Then go down and add dates via the key shortcut.
-
- - I am going to be in trouble if I do an update date won't I.
-
- - My suggestion is that the date/time has an attribute that dis/allows the
- information to be updated by the program.
-
- What do you think?
-
-
- Page breaks...... Amiga L? Huh? On other WP's it is usualy something like Ctrl
- Enter, Shift Enter, etc.....
-
- - Typists would find this more the norm than Amiga L.
-
- Hope to hear fromyou soon.
